Contact regarding COVID-19 results over the Christmas Break

Dear Parents/Carers

Public Health England has agreed a six-day window after the final day of teaching in which schools are asked to remain contactable to assist with contact tracing. This means that parents/carers of children, who have tested positive for Covid-19 after the last day of school on 18^th December, need to inform their child’s school so that other children can be informed where necessary.

With this in mind, we will ensure a communication channel is available until 1pm on 24^th December.

We have set up an email address that is monitored by school staff daily until this date, so please do not hesitate to notify us of the results anytime of the day, by sending us an email to covidresults@yewtreeknowsley.co.uk

If you are awaiting the results of a COVID test, then please notify us as soon as possible, whether the result is negative or a positive. We would also please ask that if you, your child or anyone else in your household has a COVID test at any point over the Christmas holiday, then we would appreciate it if you could notify us of this as well as the subsequent result.

This will ensure that we can continue to keep our school and wider community as safe as we can across Christmas and into the New Year.
