Welcome to Maple Class - Year 2

In Maple class our teacher is Miss Langshaw and our teaching assistant is Mrs Burghall.

In our class we love to learn and we do this in lots of different ways.

• We celebrate mistakes.
• We enjoy challenges and learning to take risks.
• We have a voice and we listen to others.
• We ask lots of questions and we help each other.
• We have fun!

We have a very busy term planned to encourage ourselves and others to be motivated and to keep on learning. We will show lots of pictures and information for you to follow us on our learning journey.

Homework

We continue our learning after school by bringing English, Maths and Spelling activities home to help us.(This will be given on a Wednesday to be returned back to school by the following Monday).

Reading

We understand reading at home for five to ten minutes a day will exercise our brain and help us in our learning.

Spelling

Our spelling quiz will take place every Monday and new spellings sent home on a Wednesday.

PE

Our PE sessions during spring term are on a Tuesday and Thursday. We will need to have a full PE kit for our lessons and these can be left in school each term. All clothing must be labelled with names.
